A few tips to live by at Auctions.

  1. Make sure you only attend reputable auction house so you know that they have taken the time to investigate how the wines have been stored over the years.
  2. Review the auction catalog, plan out the items you want to bid on and how much your willing to pay
  3. Research all current pricing and auction prices that were paid in past auctions
  4. Try to attend the pre-auction tasting
  5. Sometimes the mixed or unusual groupings make the best buys
